The colour of Western red Cedar ranges from pink to amber, and it frequently has dark knots. West Siberian Red Cedar offers an outstanding aesthetic finish at a fraction of the expense of Canadian Red Cedar. Its colouring is paler but more uniform than that of its Canadian relative. Due to its natural oil content, this Cedar requires no maintenance at all, but if left unprotected, it will start to elegantly age after about six months.
If greying is unwelcome, we advise using to improve the natural attractiveness of Cedar. The colour will be retained if treated every three to five years.

Directions for use:
- Use brass or stainless steel nails when working with Cedar to prevent chemical reactions that will detract from the aesthetics.
- Since Cedar already contains oil that waterproofs it naturally, you don't need to apply any varnish.
- To improve the appearance and lifespan, we would suggest using . To keep the surface appearing new, recoat it every three to five years.
- When dealing with Cedar, it is recommended that you acquire 5-10% more than you need because you will certainly encounter the occasional dead knot or surface crack. If you don't mind staggered joints, however, you won't need to order more.
